How Does InfiniteRule Hitch Lock Prevent Theft of Trailer with Gen-Y Spartan Gooseneck

Question:

I watched the video from Andy and it showed how the lock works, but how does it prevent left of the trailer?

Hey Peter, with the InfiniteRule lock part # IR48FR installed in a Gen-Y Spartan Coupler like part # 325-GH-7062 basically it prevents the latch mechanism from being able to roll back and either release or accept a gooseneck ball. It essentially blocks off the coupler so no ball/truck could attach to it which is how it works as a theft deterrent.

Is this lock to be used as theft protection when not attached to the truck or used while towing to help secure the hitch to the gooseball, or both?

@NateS It could be used for both since it locks it in the latched position.
