Selecting Replacement Front Spring Hanger for 2000-lb Axle

Question:
How do I now if I need the 1.5 or 3.25 inch front hangers for a 2000 lb. axle? All I can see is that it gives you a little more clearance between the frame and the axle.

If you are replacing an existing front hanger on your trailer you can measure the original hanger to help you select a replacement. The linked article will be helpful.
If the trailer is a single axle type then the front and rear hangers do not have to be the same height. You can choose a hanger of the height that provides the appropriate clearance between the axle and frame.
