Question:
Atwood water heater doesn’t work on electric or propane. A friend removed the thermal fuse and it worked for one day then died? Did I burn up control board?

It does sound like your control board needs to be replaced, unfortunately. I'd need to know what model water heater you have currently to get the correct control board.
For instance if you had the AT94191, AT96121, or AT96136 water heater then you could use the Replacement Control Panel for Atwood Water Heaters # AT91367.
