Are There Different L44649 Bearings For The Inner or Outer Position on a Trailer Hub?

Question:

I have a single axel boat trailer that uses a set of L44649 bearings for each wheel straight axel spindle. Each pair of bearings has one of the bearings marked 3JX and the other bearing marked 3JE. Do these markings mean anything- like one for the outside and one for the inside? Thanks Lyle

The 3JX and 3JE are most likely a manufacturing stamp number and does not dictate inner or outer. The Bearing # L44649 can be used on either the inner or outer bearing position for your particular hub as there is not a specific one for the inner or outer. So with the Bearing Kit # BK1-150 you will not have to match a separate inner and outer bearing.
