Question:
Monitor light on towed vehicle come on when truck brake is applied even though truck is not connected to Motorhome.

Since the light for the Demco Air Force One Flat Tow Brake System # SM99243 is designed to always come on when the brake pedal is used it will always come on while you are not connected to the motorhome since it draws power from the battery on your truck. You may be able to relocate the light on your truck where it is not a distraction or we do offer the Wireless Coacklink Monitor # SM99945 you can use instead of the light. Otherwise you would have to put a switch in line of the power or ground wire on the light that you will need to manually turn on/off when you connect and disconnect to flat tow.

That’s odd because it never used to come on unless I was towing it with the Motorhome.
