What Direction Should Trailer Tail Light # STL72RB Face When Mounted on Trailer

Question:

Unfortunately I'm still confused . Does the entire 12 LED cells flash when turn indicator is on? If not then there must be a preferred orientation so that the flashing led cells are on the outside which is why I asked the question about the preferred location of 3 wire pins. Please clarify if the turn signal function controls all 12 LEDs?

When mounting the Trailer Tail Light # STL72RB as a turn signal/tail/stop light it has to be facing directly behind the trailer towards a vehicle that would be behind you. The orientation of the wiring harness pins is not super important but it has to be visible directly from a vehicle behind the trailer.

I understand your confusion now. To answer your question all of the diodes illuminate when the blinker or stop circuit is applied. I attached a picture that shows the brighter stop/turn signal activated for you to see what I mean.
