How Does Transfer Case of 2023 GMC Yukon XL Shift to Neutral

Question:
Im trying to figure out the neutral setting on flat towing dinghy a 2023 GMC Yukon XL 4WD. I have all the tow systems installed including an AF1 braking system and base plate/tow bar. I cannot however figure out the sequence for getting the transfer case into neutral. The manual says to hit the 2 highinch button 5 times. but it doesnt do anything. Since they make base plates for the 23 yukon XL I figure there has to be a way to do it. The dealer AND the manufacturer representatives on the phone didnt have any reliable information. Im hoping someone at etrailer has experience with this.

I pulled up the owners manual for a 2023 GMC Yukon XL and to get the transfer case in neutral you would need to follow these steps:
To shift into N (Neutral):
1. Start the vehicle.
2. Shift the transmission to N (Neutral).
3. Shift the transfer case to 2 m.
4. Apply the parking brake and/or brake
pedal.
5. Press 2 m five times in 10 seconds until
the N (Neutral) graphic starts flashing in
the instrument cluster. When the shift is
complete, the graphic stops flashing.
If the parking brake and/or brake pedal
is not applied within 20 seconds, the
transfer case will remain in the original
state.
6. If the transmission is not shifted into
N (Neutral) or the vehicle has not slowed
to 5 km/h (3 mph) within 20 seconds,
the transfer case will remain in its
original state. This will be indicated in
the instrument cluster.
If this doesn't work there is an issue with the vehicle only a GM dealer can help with.
