Question:
is a heavier than 40 amp 7 pin trailer plug available? i sometimes have trouble with a 12v fuel transfer pump melting the 12v power plug portion of the plug when pumping a lot of fuel in a short time continuous flow.

Hey Mark,
There aren't higher rated 7-pin plugs available but what we usually do in a situation like this would be to splice in some Anderson-style connectors # DL24085 with a higher gauge wire. These connectors can use up to 6 gauge wire but for 40 amps you can just use 8 gauge wire from your local hardware store.
