10 Gauge Wire and Breaker for Brake Controller Install 2009 Toyota Highlander

Updated 03/25/2024 | Published 03/22/2024

Question:

Do you have or can you specify two items for brake controller wiring for my 2009 Highlander V6? I just need the 10 gauge? two wire cable and the circuit breaker30 Amp?. Also can you tell me if this car that has the factory tow package the Toyota VIN spec says TO Tow Prep Package includes Factory has the wiring under the dash for the brake connection and the tail light/turn signal/etc connector at the drivers side rear of the vehicle. Ive read that this connector in the rear should be under the drivers side panel but I cannot see how to release the panel. Maybe it is actually under the car in the same area?

Hey Gene, for the wiring what you would want is the part # 10-2-1 which is double bonded 10 gauge wire that we sell by the foot. Then for a 30 amp breaker the part # PK54530 would work great.

We don't have any info on your vehicle having factory brake controller wiring which by this time we would if it was there or accessible.
