Thanks for you response below to my question. Here is a follow up: what solution would you propose if I think the Companion hitch you recommend will be too heavy. I need an option that is not is heavy so I can remove by myself. Thanks.

Hi Alan,
To drop the weight down to something manageable for one person you could switch to the Curt A16 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch # C16120 (116lbs) along with the Adapter Rails for Curt 5th Wheel Hitch # C29BR (95lbs). The head of the A16 can also be easily removed by pulling the pin locking it to the head assembly, reducing the weight further. To use this with your Turning Point pin box you also need the Curt A-Series Wedge Kit # C16992.
