Kevin C. My rubicon has the factory steel bumper and a warn winch. I have a RM Sterling tow bar early sn from my last towed I would like to use. Also have a factory LED lighting group option. Concerned if that is compatible with your harness adapters. Drew

Hi Drew,

For a factory steel bumper with a warn winch and a Roadmaster Sterling tow bar you'll want to go with the Roadmaster Direct-Connect Base Plate Kit # RM24VR. The diode kits will work with LED lighting, you'll just need to determine if you do have ParkSense Proximity Sensors or not. If you do you'll want part # RM63MR; if you don't then you'll want part # RM-15267.

If you're completely against cutting into your tail light wiring then there's also plug-in wire harnesses like the Curt Custom Tail Light Wiring Kit for Towed Vehicles # C96JR available. Plug-in harnesses are convenient but they tend to end up having more issues and require a complete replacement instead of just a smaller section replacement like you'd have splice-in wiring.
