Hey Carl, thanks for writing in, and that's a good question. Thankfully, the answer is no, you do not need to cut or trim the fascia/face plate on a 2024 Ford Maverick to install the Demco base plate that fits, which is the following part number:

This base plate was designed for the arms to use the openings already on the front fascia which is why no fascia cutting is required. And that's great because nobody wants to do any extra cutting of their truck if necessary, right?
