Yes absolutely, you can cut the pipe to whatever length you want. You're just going to want to make sure that the end caps get put back together properly so you can install the leg to the mount.

If you only need to trim it a little bit you could just use the Replacement Leg Kit for etrailer RV Dinette Tables # e69RR which is going to be 2 inches shorter than # e79RR.

I want to buy a second leg to support a custom driver’s table (double pedestal). The two floor mounts will be mounted at different levels with one on the floor and one on the doghouse. If I purchase your 26” support and want to shorten it, how might I remove the end cap without damaging it? There is no obvious way for me to remove the endcap of the one I already own. Thanks!

@PatrickY There is no real set way to remove it, so I'd just take a mallet and a flat head screwdriver and gently tap the end piece off by working your screwdriver around the endcap.

Bryce, I’ve tried several techniques for removing the endcap of the one I already own. So far, it won’t budge and I’m afraid I will damage it. To be confident that your version will come apart more easily, can you assure me that I won’t struggle? Not sure how this one was assembled. Perhaps with heat or some special glue? I’d appreciate any advice from you. I don’t even care if I have to buy two new legs and cut them myself. I just don’t yet know how to get the end off. Thanks! Patrick

@Patricky I believe they are glued on, so you shouldn't struggle as much as you are now. I'd take some heat and work your way around the end cap, not getting too close to the leg to loosen that glue up. Then you can use the mallet and flat head like I mentioned below to get the end cap off.
