Can a Freeze Sensor Be Added To AC Coils on Manually Controlled Furrion AC System?

Question:
I have a 2023 Jayco Jay Feather 173 mrb Micro with a Furrion Chill AC unit. I bought a distribution panel for the Furrion from Etrailer. The unit continually freezes up. I noticed that the controller does not have a freeze sensor wire to attach to the AC coils. Is it possible to add a freeze sensor to the existing controller or perhaps get a new controller that would have the freeze sensor attached? Also, I heard dirty filters perhaps being a culprit for coil freezing. Are there other filters beside the ones on register inside the RV?

The manually controlled Air Distribution Box # FACT11MA-PS does not include a freeze sensor or a way to add this type of sensor. You would need to install a Controller # FACC12SA-BL which communicates with a Thermostat # FR33PR to have a freeze sensor.
As long as you are cleaning the coils on your rooftop air conditioner, cleaning the air filter and not running the AC on max cool for long periods of time this should help to reduce the coil from freezing.
