Updated 06/08/2026 | Published 05/03/2024

Question:

Hi, We bought a Furrion rv ac unit last year. Works perfectly. Is there a thermostat kit for it we can buy? Its either on or off. I thought i saw it in the website but not sure. Help appreciated. Justin

I do see you got the Furrion Chill HE RV Air Conditioner System # FR52PR from us last year. To switch to a thermostat control you will need a Thermostat # FR33PR, Controller # FR43PR and Air Distribution Box # FR57PR.

Thank you so much. Will get order in this week. Would this FR35SR also add heat? And compatible with all the other things in your previous email? If it’s just an extra $75 to add heat to the unit as well i might just add it whilst everything is open. Regards, Justin

@JustinC Since you would be switching to a thermostat you would need the Furrion Heat Strip Add-On # FR27PR. This includes a different controller as well so you would only need the thermostat and air distribution box from above.

@BudM Brilliant. Won't go with heat strip, but order placed for the other parts. Have a great day.

I also have a Furrion manual control ac and would like to add the thermostat and controller but would prefer the distrubution box Item # FACT12SA-PS to move the air both directions rather that straight down. Will that item work also?

@TimM Yes, when you switch to the Thermostat # FR33PR and Controller # FR43PR you will be able to install the Air Distribution Box # FACT12SA-PS.

@Bill To add a thermostat and change out the air distribution box on a Furrion AC with manual controls you will need the following parts: Replacement Single Zone Controller for Furrion Chill HE RV Air Conditioner Setup item # FR43PR Replacement Premium Wall Thermostat for Furrion Chill HE RV Air Conditioner - Single Zone - Black item # FR33PR Replacement Air Distribution Box for Furrion Chill RV Air Conditioners - LED - Electric Control item # FACT12LA-PS or item # FACT12SA-PS which is a few weeks back ordered. You will need to run wiring to the thermostat item # FR33PR.

Is the wire that goes to the thermostat included? How long is it? Or is the connection between the thermostat and the controller wireless? Thanks.

@Sergyg thanks for reaching out! The wire is a direct connection from the thermostat and the controller, it's included with the controller kit. The thermostat cable is approximately 15 feet long, which is sufficient for most RV installations. Let me know if you have any additional questions.

@Sergyg I've provided a link to the instructions that I'm reading. The install instructions show and explain that wiring. Please let me know if you have any additional questions. On page 11- "Wall Thermostat Connection 1. Prepare 4 wires to connect between the ceiling controller (roof opening) and wall controller/thermostat (wall opening)."
