Question:
I currently have a Q20 hitch and looking at replacing it with an A16 as my 5th wheel GVW is 14,000#s. I like the overlapping jaws on the Ainch series however the rest of the construction seems to be on the lighter side of the Q series, please clarify.

With the Curt A16 # C16120 being a lower rated hitch than the Q20 # C16130 it's going to be a bit smaller. That being said, the A-Series does come with the wraparound jaws and a fully articulating torsion head to provide better cushioning from road shock and easier coupling than the Q-Series. The A16 is compatible with rotating pin boxes unlike the Q20 so you have a bit more versatility if you ever traded out your trailer. The A16 will also come with a limited lifetime warranty whereas the Q20 only has a 10 year limited warranty.
Overall the A16 will have a lower towing capacity and therefore be a little less beefy than the Q20 but it will give you a smoother ride quality and the ability to use a rotating pin box.
