Why isnt the wiring kit for the 2013 Cadillac SRX a plug and play?

The wiring harnesses available for the 2013 Cadillac SRX come in two different styles. Models that came with a factory tow package do have a plug and play style connector such as # 118259 or # 56096. If you are unsure whether or not you have the tow package you can contact the dealer, give them the VIN of the vehicle and they should be able to tell you how it is equipped.
The other style is a hardwire harness such as # C59236. Plug and play harnesses are not always available for all vehicles. Certain things like demand, proprietary OEM parts, or incompatible OEM parts can all play a factor in availability.
