Question:

Have double axled trailer 5,000# axle with 4 leaf double eyed springs 25 1/4 long 1 3/4 wide. Can I put a 6 leaf 7,000 # and with same dimensions and width on without a problem? Shouldnt need anything extra should I? Was getting the whole kit.

You can replace your lower rated leaf springs with a higher capacity spring with the same dimensions, but your trailer will ride much stiffer. Adding higher capacity springs will not add more to your trailer's capacity so you'll want to still stick to your trailer's current limitations. Since you'll be removing the U-bolts to swap out the leaf springs it's recommended to replace them as well. For a 3" diameter axle you'll need U-Bolt Kit # CE23003.
