Question:

I have a 2002 Jeep liberty with a draw type 750 pound tugs, 7500 pound towing capacity toe, a 17 foot 3500 pound travel trailer that currently has 250 pounds of tongue weight. Can I use a weight distribution hitch for long tone? And if so which one

Expert Reply:

Yes, you certainly can use a weight distribution hitch with your travel trailer. For a trailer with 250 lbs of tongue weight, I recommend the Fastway e2 Weight Distribution System # FA92-00-0450. This hitch will work well on trailers with a tongue weight up to 450 lbs.

The Fastway systems are top quality, and you can expect immediate noticeable results. Not only will it help to level your ride, but it will help to keep the trailer aligned behind the vehicle and prevent sway. This will be especially beneficial if you plan on towing for long periods of time at highway speeds.

Keep in mind the hitch ball is sold separately. I recommend # C40004 for a 2" ball, or # C40007 for a 2-5/16" ball.
