Question:

I would like to add the spare tire carrier to my 2021 Leisure Travel Van Unity UTB and then tow a 6x10 cargo trailer 1,200 lbs with cargo 1,500 lbs. Will this work? My chassis is built on the Mercedes Sprinter 3500 dually chassis with 5,000 lbs towing capacity, 500lb tongue weight.

I have a different recommendation for you as the Roadmaster Hitch Mounted Spare Tire Carrier w/ 2" Receiver Opening # RM-195225 you found can only be used when flat towing or carrying hitch mounted accessories. It cannot be used for towing a trailer even as light weight as your 6'x10' cargo trailer. Instead you will want to use the Gen-Y Adjustable 2-Ball Mount # 325-GH-414 with our Spare Tire Carrier # e98ZR. The stacked receivers allow you to place the ball mount in the lower receiver and the spare tire carrier in the upper receiver tube. Since the stacked receivers are offset you can flip the mount for either a 5" or 3" drop to connect the trailer.
