Replacement Hitch Ball for 2018 Ram 3500 Hide-A-Goose Underbed Gooseneck Trailer Hitch

Question:

I have an 2018 ram 3500 srw without factory prep I have a goose neck hitch installed on the truck but not sure of the manufacturer I need a new ball it did not have one when I bought the truck and would like to use it can i send pictures and you tell me what I need? or do i need to install a new system?

Thank you for the photos! You have the Hide-A-Goose Underbed Gooseneck Trailer Hitch # 9466 installed on your 2018 Ram 3500 so to replace the hitch ball you just need the following part:

- Replacement Ball for Reese Elite Series and Factory Ford and Dodge Gooseneck Hitches # RP19311

This uses a ball-bearing style application to secure the hitch ball into the gooseneck hitch so no other pins or anything else are required to get this installed. Once you drop the hitch ball into place, move the top latch into the "locked" position and then rotate the hitch ball until the bearings snap into those pin holes and the hitch ball will be secure!

I do recommend cleaning out the receiver part of the gooseneck hitch before install the hitch ball though. It's not uncommon for gooseneck hitch balls to get stuck inside the receiver, but if you remove it when you aren't towing and keep the receiver cleaned you won't have any issues with that.
