Question:

I have a 2017 Jayco HT 27.5 RLTS. I need to replace the axelLippert V000314462. I see the 345GR would be a good match, moving the spring seats as noted in your other QandAs. My current springs, however, are mounted to the top of the axel. Can we weld the new spring sets to the top side of the tube?

Yes, you'd just need to reach out to a qualified welder and have them weld on spring seats like part # TRSS300 to the top side of the Trailer Axle Beam with Easy Grease Spindles # e45GR. It's super common to do for people who have an underslung setup and want to raise the height of the trailer.

When you remove the old axle you'll also want to replace the u-bolts with ones like part # CE23003 since they get stretched when torqued down and shouldn't be reused.
