For a hitch that fits your 2023 BMW X3 xDrive30i I recommend the etrailer Trailer Hitch Receiver # e46KR. This is a Class III hitch with a 2" receiver and a bolt-on installation. This has a concealed cross tube so only the receiver will be visible at the rear of your vehicle. It also comes with a matte black powder coat finish which gives it an OEM look.
For the most reliable wiring you want the Tekonsha T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness # TK54ZR. This plugs into the connection points in your rear cargo area and will provide you with a 4-way to power your trailer's signal lights.
In order to complete your towing setup you will also need a ball mount. Check out the etrailer Ball Mount Kit # 989900. This kit has two ball mounts, one with a 3/4" rise or 2" drop and the other with a 2-3/4" rise or 4" drop. It also comes with a 1-7/8" and 2" ball, as well as a ball mount bag to store everything in.
