Replacement Tongue Jack For A 2004 Ranger Trail Boat Trailer

Question:

What is the correct Dutton Lainson tongue jack to replace the Dutton Lainson tongue jack on my 2004 Ranger Trail Dual Axle Trailer for our Z20 Ranger Boat? The original jack is positioned in the middle of the trailer hitch with the handle for the jack on the port side. The jack pivots to the front of the trailer to store for travel and has a single wheel at the bottom, where it touches the ground for support. The Ranger Trail Trailer Model # is: CF5000 Z20. The VIN number on the trailer is: 4WRBS212451104976. The original Dutton Lainson Trailer Tongue Jack indicates that it is for 1250 LB Tongue Weight Capacity. Please advise concerning facts about how to acquire a replacement Dutton Lainson Trailer Tongue Jack that will replace the original jack for this application including model number and ordering information and total cost, including shipping and tax. I am happy to point you in the right direction. According to the online owners manual for a 2004 Ranger Trailer CF5000 Z20 boat trailer, it uses a 1200 lb Fulton Swing Jack. They do not mention any other specs, but from what I can see, they use a snap ring mount, very similar to the Fulton Round, Snap-Ring Swivel Marine Jack # FTJ120W0301. This should match the current snap ring, if there is already one welded to the tongue.

If not, we have the # FXP10 which has a bolt-on bracket for frames up to 3" wide and 5' tall. Either of these will be a very easy swap out, and will have sufficient capacity for your trailer. The # FXP10 does have a retracted height of 14-1/2", so you will want to confirm that this will be sized correctly compared to the current jack.
