Question:
Hello, The TSS-106-40 states that it requires clearance between top of spring plate and bottom of trailer frame: 6inch - 8-5/8. Can you confirm if this is when the axle is resting or when the frame is raised? My clearance on my current trailer at rest is 5.25inch between the top of the spring and bottom frame. Thank you.

The SumoSprings Trailer Helper Springs # TSS-106-40 designed for your underslung axles does require you to have 6" to 8-5/8" of clearance from the bottom of your frame to the top of the leaf spring at the axle. Do be sure your trailer is level and unloaded to get an accurate measurement. Based on the picture you sent I am worried how close your axles are to the frame especially if the trailer is unloaded. I feel they are close enough to contact the frame as the suspension goes through its travel. You should consider adding the Lift Kit # RR23QX which will gain you an additional 1-1/4" or 2-1/4" of clearance and place your gap at the measurement needed to use the SumoSprings above.
