Does Valterra Waste Valve Require Lubricant on Blade/Seal

When i put in a new Valterra waste valve, should i lubricate the blade and seals?

The Valterra EZ Valve Electric Waste Valve for RV Black Water Tank - 3" Diameter # TC372 does not require any lubricating of the rubber seals. I do know that some people choose to add silicone plumbers grease to the seals because they believe it helps the seals to last longer, but it is not required and also is not included in the kit.

Hi Dan; you can add a lubricant to the #T1003VP seals but I would stay away from Vaseline. It is petroleum based so it can damage the seals over time. A silicone spray would be a better choice.

Yes, the two Dexter hubs you mentioned part #8-219-13UC3 and #42866UC3-EZ are interchangeable. The difference is that the #8-219-13UC3 has 9/16 inch studs and the other hub has 1/2 inch diameter studs.
