Video Transcript for Review of the Valterra Coupling for RV Sewer System

Today we're going to be taking a look at the Valterra Flexible Sewer Coupler. This is used to covert from an RV flexible drain hose system to a rigid pipe connection to the sewer. It includes the hose clamps, one at each end for easy security. It's going to couple standard three inch, schedule 40 ABS pipe. A few measurements to go over with you real quick. Inner diameter, it's going to measure three and a half inches.

External diameter, about four and one eighth. That's going to be the same on each side. You see you got the nice metal hose clamps, very easy to use. Tighten those down using a flat blade screwdriver or a small socket. Measuring edge to edge going this direction, we're looking at about two and one quarter inches.

That's going to do it for today's look at the Valterra Flexible Sewer Coupler.

Just what I wanted. I was repairing my septic tank I installed a 3 inch black pipe into the tank and I needed a black pipe to fit inside this pipe which I found out they don't make. so this fitting worked just fine.

  • Replacement Waste Valves And Rubber Couplers For A 2017 Winnebago View Motorhome
    Hey Frank, From what I can find the 129147-02-000 cross references over to the Valterra T40H which doesn't come with the cable, but I'm assuming you'd prefer to swap out to all new hardware as well. For this and the gray waste valve you can use the Valterra Waste Valve Bodies w/ Flexible Cables for RV Black Water and Gray Water Tanks # TC1372. These will both come with 72" long cables to open and close the gates. If you unbolt the old valves you can easily swap in the new ones instead...

    This is an unexpected configutation with the valve connected directly to the black tank. Nevertheless, it seems that a Valtera # F02-2106 Replacement Rubber Grommet would fix you right up. I think I would spring for some new Valterra # H03-0018 hose clamps. If you find that you have 3-1/2" connections (rather than 3") then the Valterra # F02-2103 coupler will be needed. Otherwise you will be ready for the Valterra # T18A waste valve.

    That's a good question but we don't have a way to look that up since Winnebago does not list that as a spec anywhere. You'd have to measure and verify before ordering either the 3 inch # F02-2106 or the larger size # F02-2103. Since the 3 inch size is the most common one there's a very likely possibility that's the size you need.
