Can A BOLT Lock For Tonneau Covers Be Rekeyed Or Can The Key Code Be Looked Up

Question:
I have a tonneau cover for a Ford F-150 Super Crew Cab and unfortunately my husband passed away a few months ago and I am trying to find the key which is apparently a BOLT key to the cover... So far, no luck, is there any way to replace the key and/or is there a way to find the serial number to the key to order a new key... or is there any suggestions you may have, as I am trying to sell the truck and I dont think I should sell it without having the key to the cover. Thank you so much

BOLT locks key to the ignition key so that you can have everything unlocked with one key so that you're not carrying as much or as likely to lose the key. I recommend checking the key for the ignition key for the F-150 first to see if he keyed it to that. If not their locks unfortunately can not be rekeyed and there wouldn't be a way for anyone to look up the key he used during the initial installation process.
If this is the case for you then you would need to drill out the lock and replace it with another like the Replacement OEM Bolt Lock for Extang EnCore Hard Tonneau Cover # EX28620152-28, if you have an Extang EnCore tonneau cover.
