Question:
I have a tandem axle travel trailer. I want to pull it with a golf cart in the bed of my truck. The tailgate will need to be down to accommodate the golf cart. This will interfere with towing the camper. Can I use a hitch extension? Is there any other options? Not looking to pay a bunch as we only do this once a year.

I wouldn't use a hitch extension like item # BX88264 because it will cut your hitch's capacity in half. Instead I recommend the Brophy Ball Mount for 2" Hitches item # BH20. This ball mount measures 13-1/4" long from the center of the hitch pin to the center of the hitch ball. It has a 10,000 lbs capacity and won't reduce your hitch or tow vehicle's capacity.
Depending on your coupler size you will either need a 2" Hitch Ball item # A-90 or a 2-5/16" hitch ball item # C40030.
