Question:

2015 4Runner base Trail Edition factory installed roof rails that extend from the post behind the driver/passenger front doors to the rear of the of the vehicle. The roof rails have marks for proper installation and spacing. The interior measurement from side rail to side rail is 40 1/2inch give or take I want a locking low profile - low wind noise rails that do not extend outside the side rails Will be mounting a Yakima Topwater rod box Will this one work or what would be a good option.

The Thule WingBar Edge Roof Rack, parts # TH93RE and # TH69SC, will be a great option for your 2015 Toyota 4Runner Trail with the roof rails. It has a low profile, is a pretty simple installation, and you can add locks with the Thule One-Key System # TH450400. The aerodynamic design helps to cut down on wind noise and drag so you will be happy with the results of this system.

For a fairing I recommend the 32" Long AirScreen XT # TH62WV which will give you good coverage for even more wind noise reduction.

There will also be enough room for you to mount the Yakima TopWater # Y04088 plus you can use the SmarT-Slot Mounting Kit # Y04094 if you prefer to go that route.
