Hi I just got a 24 Crv. Looking to do the hitch system verses the roof set up. Looking for something that can hold mountain bikes and also skies thanks

There's a lot to unpack with a comparison here but the long and short of it is that using a hitch system on your 2024 Honda CR-V will make life easier but limits you to carrying bikes or skis (can't do both at the same time). The roof rack will be more expensive and more difficult to load but it will give you the ability to carry everything at once.

I recommend going with the hitch setup because it will be easier to load everything up plus you can utilize it for other things as well like towing a small trailer. Here are the parts I recommend using:

The FullSwing is my bike rack of choice because it can swing out of the way so you have unrestricted rear hatch access without unloading anything, and then the HitchSki installs on the arms for when you need to carry your skis. This is a pretty simple setup that's also really easy to use which is why I like it.
