Question:

I have a 2024 GMC HD 2500 6 3/4 bed. Can I tow a 2024 North Point 310 rlts with a regular 5th wheel hitch or do I need the slider?

Possibly since you have a 6-3/4' bed but you'll need to take a couple of measurements. I took a look at the nose of a 2024 North Point 310 RLTS. With how low of a profile it has and the kingpin extending out so far you should have plenty of clearance to the back of your cab using a standard 5th wheel hitch like the B&W Companion item # BWRVK3710.

The formula to determine 5th wheel turning clearance is pretty straightforward and is expressed as:

(A + B) - C = Clearance

A = Distance from center of fifth wheel hitch jaw to truck cab
B = Length of pin box arm
C = Width of trailer divided by 2 (to get half)

For an example, if the distance from the center of the hitch to the cab is 36", 36" + 22" = 58". If your 5th wheel trailer is 102" wide, take half (51"), then plug in: 58" - 51" = 7" of clearance. At least 4" of clearance is recommended to safely execute a 90 degree turn.

If you have less than 4" you'll need to use the Sliding B&W Companion item # BWRVK3775 you were looking at. Both of the Companion hitches are confirmed to fit the puck system on your 2024 GMC Sierra 2500.
