Correct MORryde Pin Box for Grand Design Reflection 337RLS

Question:

I am reviewing the same title article from Ken. I have the same exact same configuration as Ken. The published unloaded vehicle weight of the Grand Design 337RLS is 10877 with a GVWR of 13995. According to the Etrailer website, a trailer weighing less than 14000 should not be used with the MR84VR MORryde. I am confused on which model I should use. Will you please investigate and explain which model of MORryde I should use for my ? Why did Connor recommend the larger capacity MORryde? I want to make sure I use the correct model for the best towing experience. Thank you!

The Grand Design Reflection 337RLS has a GVWR of 13,995 lbs. This is right in the middle of the MORryde Cushioned 5th Wheel Pin Box part # MR74VR for 11,501 lbs to 14,000 lbs or part # MR84VR for 14,001 lbs. If you wanted to do things completely by the book then go with the lesser rated model up to 14,000 lbs. This will work fine for you and is rated appropriately. That said, from our experience, customers tend to overload their trailer and it's worthwhile to have some extra margin of error for your pin box which is why I recommend the model rated up to 18,000 lbs.
