It sounds like you're needing to change out a fuse or relay on your 2004 Nissan Titan. If you check out the Hopkins wiring kit # N40975 you'll see some of the relays you'll be looking for.
You should be able to find a label on your engine compartment and inside cab fuse boxes that tell you what fuses and relays carry which functions, so you'll want to use that to see if anything needs to be replaced. Unfortunately Nissan doesn't make that list readily available in their manual otherwise it would be easier to narrow it down that way.
If all of your fuses and relays are in good working order then you'll need to make sure the Nissan is actually pushing power through to the trailer by testing the running light pin (see attached for 4-Way and 7-Way connectors). If you aren't getting power then some wiring is messed up between your fuse/relay and the connector, but if you are seeing power then the issue lies with your trailer and you need to inspect and fix the wiring on your trailer running light circuit.
