Question:

Hello I was looking at Item # e99049 for the back of my trailer so I could keep my spare tire mounted on the bumper. Ultimately Im looking for permanent storage on the back so I can remove items from my storage area up front. Is there a permanent solution which is lockable for the rear of RV trailers? I own a 29rlkwe cougar.

A lot of people will just mount a tool box like the DeeZee Red Label Truck Bed Tool Box # DZ8546 or Buyers Products Utility Storage Box # 3371712230 to the bottom rails of the 24x60 etrailer Cargo Carrier for RV Bumper # e99049 for lockable storage space. You'd simply drill through the bottom of the box and could either drilling through the rails of the carrier or run two carriage bolt through a bracket up into the box to clamp it to the rails of the carrier.

The size of the box can carry to fit your specific needs but this is the most common way we've seen it done. You will want to verify the capacity of the bumper before you start loading up the carrier with heavier items.
