Coupler Lock Recommendation for a Bulldog BX1 Gooseneck Trailer Coupler

Question:

I have a Bulldog BX1 coupler on my trailer. Can you tell me if the lock will work properly?

The Bulldog BX1 gooseneck couplers have that handle assembly at the bottom so the lock that would fit at the bottom of the coupler in lock set # BLTL-53-40D2 would not fit. The BX1 series of gooseneck couplers can be locked with a padlock which you could get locally.

When the BX1 couplers are in the coupled position, you can place a padlock through the hole as indicated in the picture. The coupler could then not be opened with or without a trailer connected.
