Published 03/07/2014 >
Question:
Good video on a 4 wire flat connection.I need to install a 5 wire flat connection so that surge brakes are overridden when I backup. Can you supply such a connector or do I have to run a wire from my backup lights?

We do not have any plug-in style 5-wire harnesses, but you can use a 5-wire adapter like the Tow Ready 4 Pole to 5 Pole Adapter, # 20036, or the Hopkins 4 Pole to 5 Pole Adapter, # 47515. These adapter would require a 4-way wiring harness to be installed first, then the additional wire from the adapters would splice into your vehicles reverse light circuit to actuate a surge brake electric lockout.
