Replacement 15,000 Btu AC For Ducted Coleman AC Unit With Heat Pump

Question:

8534c8797 is my current ac unit. I am looking to replace with an upgrade. I would prefer a 15K unit. The current unit is a ducted unit. Let me know what I need. It is a 2005 Fleetwood Southwind 37C.

What you have is a ducted Coleman AC unit with a heat pump, so you'll need to replace the whole unit, including thermostat because there isn't a plug-in option for this unit. To replace your ducted unit and get a new thermostat you'll need to go with the Furrion HE:

- Furrion Chill HE RV Air Conditioner System # FR55PV

The # FR55PV is a 15,000 Btu like you wanted for better cooling, comes with the thermostat, and has a built-in start capacitor for a power boost so it always starts up. This is an AC only without heat (there is not an option with built-in heat), but if you wanted the option for heat you can add that with the Furrion Heat Strip # FR35SR.
