How can I tell if my rv needs the 2500 lb or the 5000 and what is the difference between them.

There is no difference between the 2,500 version of the SnapPad SnapJack for RV Scissor Jack Stabilizers, and the 5K to 7K version # SN65FR.
The only difference between the two would be the capacity they can handle. In order to determine which one you'd need, you'd need to determine the capacity of your trailer jack and compare it to the feet and choose the set that matches your capacity.
