Question:
Looking for trailer hubs for a 1977 Shore Landr trailer, SS-16 series, not sure if axle is original or not. Shaft is tapered, approximately 1.25 on the large end, approximately 7/8 on the small end, approximately 2-5/8 long, then a approximately 3/4 diameter for about 3/4, then the threaded end. Was also looking at possibly getting a new axle assembly 60 x 48 but my dimensions are approximately 63-1/4 x 50. I can send pictures if necessary Thanks!

In order to find replacement hubs for your 1977 ShoreLand'r boat trailer you will need exact measurements. I recommend using a digital caliper like the # PTW80157. You can either measure the spindle where the bearings ride or the inner diameter of your old bearings. See the helpful diagram below.
For example, if you found that your inner bearing was # L68149 (1.378" inner diameter) and your outer bearing was # L44649 (1.063" ID) you could use the # AKIHUB-545-35-EZ-K as a replacement. You will need to match up the correct bolt pattern as well. There is also a good chance based on the age that replacement hubs are no longer available.
For a replacement axle, you will need the hub-face-to-hub-face measurement. The # e84YR measures 60" hub-face-to-hub-face. The spring seats could be moved if necessary. If this is the measurement you used to get 63-1/4" then this would be too short.
If that is the case, the only option would be a universal system like the Timbren Axle-Less Trailer Suspension. This will replace your axle as well as upgrade and replace the suspension on your trailer. Assuming you need a 2,000 lb axle the correct system would be the # A20RS545. Others are available if you need a different capacity.
I have attached a link below to all of our hubs that can be filtered by bolt pattern and bearings. I also included a video showing how to measure your axle for your reference.
