Replacement Converter Recommeendation for WFCO 8735/8740 Power Center

Question:

I have a WFCO 8735P-GE converter in a WFCO 8735/8740 power center. I have a Renogy 100ah lithium battery and GoSolar 190 watt panel. The WFCO is struggling charge the battery. In reviewing questions on your site the PD9100ALV is an excellent replacement for the WFCO. As I understand it the old converter is removed and this put in its place, right? I assume the WFCO is hard wired into the distribution panel. Where do I plug this in? Also, if there is no battery present, then this system wont work unless I go with the Progressive distribution panel.

The Progressive Dynamics PD9100L Series Battery Converter Charger PD9160ALV (discontinued) can replace some WFCO models but according to our research you actually need to replace the whole system with this part:

- Progressive Dynamics 4100 Series RV Converter w/ Charge Wizard and AC/DC Distribution Panel # PD4135K

Unfortunately the converter you're looking at can't just replace what you have on your power center.
