Question:
hi, I am looking for assistance to correct an LED lighting issue on a Kuat Piston Pro X bike rack for my 2020 Ford Edge ST with towing package. When the vehicles lights are on and the brakes pressed, the dash displays a message Trailer Park Lamps Fault Check Lamps I am considering adding a resistor behind the LEDs in the bike rack wiring, but need assistance in identifying what will work to correct the issue. Thank you

You are going to want to use a 7-Way to 5-Way/4-Way Trailer Adapter for Vehicles with Lamp-Out Sensors # C35FR when connecting to the Kuat Piston Pro X Bike Rack # KU98VR. This adapter has resistors built in to trick the vehicle in seeing a larger power draw so it does not send the message you are getting. This will be needed on any trailer or auxiliary lights you use with LED lights to prevent the message on the dash of your 2020 Ford Edge ST with the factory towing package.
