Question:

Hi, If I have a Yakima Holdup 1.25inch and swapped the tongue out for a 2inch to fit a new car, will I be able to use the 2 bike extension or is there something about the actual rack of the 1.25inch that will prevent me from using the 2 bike extension? Thanks.

There's two different versions of the Yakima HoldUp, the # Y02445 and the EVO # Y02479. If you have the standard model # Y02445 then there isn't a compatible add-on to increase the capacity to 4 bikes. The EVO model # Y02479 has the add-on # Y02482, which is not compatible with any other models.

You can still replace the shank of the HoldUp # Y02445 with the 2" shank # 8880580 so that it can fit into a 2" receiver, but adding on more bikes unfortunately isn't going to be an option.
