Can The Lippert Turning Point Be Locked Out And Used With A B&W Companion Gooseneck Hitch

Question:
As long as the turning point hitch is locked in place then it’s safe to use the companion in a center point hitch?

Expert Reply:
If your Turning Point pin box is locked out by install the two bolts in the back of it then yes, you can use a hitch like the B&W Companion Gooseneck-to-5th-Wheel Trailer Hitch Adapter # BWRVK3500. If you ever decide to remove the two bolts and use the Turning Point as a rotating pin box again then you'll need to use a hitch with four points of contact (base rail connection or OEM puck connection) along with an appropriate wedge kit to have only one pivot point.
