Question:
Can you tell me what the difference is between the Demco hydraulic coupler DM72VR and the DX7.5 other than the towing weight? Thanks.

Expert Reply:
The Demco Hydraulic Brake Actuator # DM72VR and Dexter DX7.5 Drop-N-Go Brake Actuator # 099-175-00 are made by two different manufacturers and the only differences are the weight capacities, the bolt patterns, and the exact style of the coupler latch - both latches have an automatic latch mechanism though so even though they don't look the same, they still act in the same way.
For the bolt pattern the Demco has a triangular mounting bolt pattern while the Dexter is in an L shape.
