How does the Megawarrior attach to tbe lower tier of the Easy Rider?

The Yakima MegaWarrior Large Roof Rack Cargo Basket # Y07080 uses clamping brackets to connect to crossbars just like the Yakima EasyRider Double Decker Trailer # Y08129 has. I've attached a snippet from the instructions showing the brackets and bolts clamping onto a crossbar and review videos for both so that you can see them in use. Without crossbars on the lower tier you would have nothing to connect the cargo basket to.
