Question:

I have a 2022 GMC Canyon. Im curious if this part will integrate with my lighting system and cause my brake lights to illuminate properly?

The purpose of the RoadMaster Transmitter for Even Brake Systems # RM-9430 is to send signals to the monitor in the cab so you can know if everything is working properly or not, but it also communicates with the system as you apply the brakes for proper functionality.

Without the transmitter the Even Brake # RM-9400 would sense an error and would not work correctly.

Just so you're aware, you're also going to need the Roadmaster Stop Light Switch Kit # RM-751472 in conjunction with the transmitter and the Even Brake to ensure the unit is working and illuminating your lights properly. Since you're having lighting issues, I'd first make sure you have this kit installed.
