Question:
I launch almost 100 of the time in salt water. How can I know that the bearings will not rust?

Expert Reply:
The best way to prevent rust and corrosion inside your hubs is by selecting a stainless steel hub like the Kodiak # KH84545S, and more frequently inspecting your bearings and seals. Be sure your hubs are filled with a marine grade Grease # L54FR. You can also use Bearing Buddy Bearing Protectors # BB1980A-SS if you do not have an easy lube spindle. The bearing buddy will allow you to ensure your hub is filled completely with grease leaving no room for water to get in.
If you can provide me additional details on your trailer I can help you know which hubs, Bearing Buddy's, bearings and seals you may need for your trailer.
