To get your 2021 Ford Ranger setup for flat towing I recommend the following parts:

- Blue Ox Base Plate Kit # BLU77XR
- Roadmaster Nighthawk All Terrain Tow Bar # RM-677 (with safety cables)
- Roadmaster Accessory Kit # RM-9284-2
- Brake Kit # DM26VR (motorhome air brakes) OR # DM86VR (motorhome hydraulic brakes)
- High-Low Adapter (see attached helpful article - bracket height is 17" for Blue Ox base plate kit)

The Blue Ox base plate kit has removeable tabs for a clean look when you aren't towing, and then the tow bar comes with safety cables and part of a wiring kit. The accessory kit gives you the rest of the wiring as well as locks and a storage cover for the tow bar.

When it comes to the brake kits I like these options because they install permanently but out of the way, and they are easy to get connected when you need to flat tow.
