Determining Bearing Buddy Size For Folding Trailer
Updated 02/12/2014 | Published 02/10/2014 >
Question:
Hi, I own a folding trailer and want to buy a Wheel Bearing Protector set Bearing buddy, etc. Do you sell the wheel bearing protectors for this model trailer? And if you do know what brand and part number wil fit? Ive tried the 1.98inch size but it does not fit - too small - it seems to be very close to same size so the wheel bearing protector shoulderfoot barely contacts the bore opening with no friction which is needed to help it stay on. And I also tried their other size, 2.441 inch which are are way too big. I know I should measure the inside of the bore but cant find my micrometer at the moment and was hoping that perhaps you had run into this question before and had a quick solution. Thanks,

The best way to find the correct Bearing Buddy for your folding trailer is by checking the numbers on the outer bearing. I have attached a photo that shows where the numbers can typically be found. You can use those numbers to find the correct Bearing buddy that will work for you.
Another way to find the correct Bearing Buddy is by measuring the hub bore. You will need a caliper to get an accurate measurement. After getting the measurement you can choose the Bearing Buddy that fits.
I have attached a link to a helpful article about bearings and races, and have included a link to our product page for bearing protectors.
